A WEEK IN JOGJA & CENTRAL JAVA
DAY ONE ARRIVAL JOGJA - PRAMBANAN
Upon arrival in Jogja airport, met and greet by your guide and drive to Prambanan , visit the most beautiful Hindu Temple – Prambanan temple. Continued to Borobudur via cangkringan village. If the time permit, viewing the stil active volcanoe – Mt. Merapi in distance in Kaliaddem village. Arrival in Borobudur, check in MANOHARA HOTEL near Borobudur Park. Dinner will be served at hotel (D)
DAY TWO BOROBUDUR SUNRISE – VILLAGE TRIP
Wake up call at 04.00 AM. Drive to Watu Kendil Hill on your coach, continued with walk on some distance. Then, accompanied hot coffee or tea, admiring the beautiful Sunrise with the background of Borobudur temple in distance and some great mountains and hills view. It will be unforgettable experience. Continued with morning village trip on your way back to your hotel. Breakfast at your hotel. Then, Proceed to Borobudur temple for learning more about life philosophy described on the relief. Visit mendut and pawon temple nearby before drive to Wonosobo. Arrival in Wonosobo – make a town sightseeing and check in hotel KRESNA for overnight. (B)
DAY THREE DIENG PLATEAU
Early morning, drive to Dieng Plateau, and exploring the oldest Hindu temple complex in Java will be enjoyed and visited. Some still active craters and color lakes are the next visits. While taking a deep breath of morning fresh air, you could enjoy the morning life of Dieng’s people starting their work in their vegetable plantation. On the way to hotel, it is possible to stop at tea plantation and tea factory for more exploration. Check out hotel. Drive to Grabag Magelang for overnight stay in LOSARI COFFEE PLANTATION RESORT. DAY FOUR PLANTATION TOUR – DRIVE SOLO
In the morning, Coffee Plantation Tour surround the resort and continued with relax until chek out time. Then, drive to Solo via Selo – Boyolali, passing through Mt. Merapi and Mt. Merbabu valley with full of nice view. Some stops are possibly made. Arrival in Solo city, direct check in to LOR IN SOLO (B)
DAY FIVE SUKUH – CETHO – JOGJA
Morning, we travel on through lovely countryside to discover the mystery of the 14th century Sukuh temple. Next, we go on up scenic, Winding Mountain road to another 14th century Hindu temple at Cetho to enjoy the beauty of its peaceful surroundings. Back to Solo for sightseeing and direct drive to Yogyakarta for overnight stay. JOGJA VILLAGE INN. (B)
DAY SIX JOGJA
Morning, get on local unmachine public vehicle called becak , explore the city of jogja with its taste. First visit cigar factory of Tarumartani owned by local government where you still find 100 year-old machine used in producing export quality cigars. See, smell, and taste the difference. Continued to city center direct go to the cental of Javanese culture – Kraton Yoyakarta, where the Sultan’s of Ngayogyakarta hadiningrat stay in. To learn Indonesia you have to learn about Javanese culture. And the center of the culture is in this palace. On certain day you could see the original traditonal performance such as dance, puppet show, gamelan music etc. From Kraton, visit Taman Sari – a ruin of water castle, where it used as leisure park for king’s family. Ngasem Bird market is your next destination after Taman Sari. Then, drive to local home industry of Batik and Silverware for its process and collections. After lunch break, continued the trip to Kasongan and Pajangan Village for other local village for its pottery and leather puppet. End the trip today with sunset at Parangtritis Beach. Back to your hotel (B)
